Todays’ conversation is with Damon Riehl who has over 35 years of lending experience under his belt. He is the Chief Executive at Investment Property Loan Exchange — a company located in the middle of the United States. Although it was founded relatively recently, in 2017, the Investment Property Loan Exchange already serves 39 U.S. states.

What is the company all about? According to Damon, “What we are is a matchmaker of sorts — we match real estate investors with the right lending options. On our platform, we have all the top private lenders in the US that are available with their lending programs.”

“We needed a way to organize our approach towards serving our clients in the various stages of the life cycle of that relationship.”Damon clarifies, “Someone might be a prospect for a time. The next phase is working on the proposal for them and after they’ve accepted the proposal, the next step is working on an active loan exchange.” Damon explains that in the past, he used Salesforce. However, the tool didn’t meet his expectations, he says, “Salesforce was not a good fit. I never liked it because it was too generic and not customizable without significant development work.”

The Mail section in amoCRMWithin MailChimp, Damon has different audiences defined and different email templates that are built to have a message specifically for that specific clientele. He illustrates an example, “If someone is interested in financing a multi-family property, we’ll send the message that specifically relates to multi-family financing.” In amoCRM, Damon has the ability to automatically assign every new lead to one of their MailChimp audiences.
